After The Storm

It was a beautiful day after the storms.  We picked up some of the outdoor learning area today.  There were limbs and leaves.  We made a fun discovery and went from there.  Acorns! Lots of acorns to be gathered.  We did some counting collections and they enjoyed it!  

Indoor Activities

Today was our first official “inside” day at school.  We have spent most of our time outside.  I had some fun things for us to do.  We have been gathering chicken eggs for a week or so.  It was time to cook them!  We counted, discussed the lifecycle, and cooked our eggs.  Good stuff.....we used some chalk to draw on the living room table.  (They promised me they would not do it at home!) 😂  They had a good time with cooking, art, drawing, and singing!

Experience Learning

We finished up our 8th day of school today.  We have already experienced a lot of fun things.  Today was pretty neat.  We had a chicken egg that we found.  The kiddos wanted to know what was in that egg?!?  We all made predictions and then we checked it out!  

It has been pretty hot so the water tables have been a favorite.  They have all enjoyed the instruments and they have played me some beautiful music each day..... let me tell you!  Our dogs Bo and Charlie love the kids and just hang out with them. We are getting into a good routine.  CC has been reading to them in the mornings after breakfast and they love that.  A lot of chicken catching, tire swinging, smiles, and learning is already going on.
